Mart Crowley’s The Boys in the Band, which I worked on translating earlier this year, will finally be introduced as a stage show in Korea after New York and London.

Based on the Tony Award-winning play that changed a generation, The Boys in the Band follows a group of nine gay men who gather for a birthday party in 1968 New York City – only to find the drinks and laughs interrupted when a visitor from the host’s past turns the evening upside down.

Overseas, colour is often used to market the image of a show, for example, The Phantom of the Opera (blue), Les Misérables (red), Wicked (green), Frozen (light blue), Matilda (ultramarine blue), Six (purple)…. and so on.
